Grand American Diplomat Dies

Monday sadly saw the U.S. lose one of its greatest assets and grandest personalities with the sudden passing of Richard Holbrooke. The "bulldozer" as he was nicknamed was an American in the truest sense, a man who combined combined brilliance with toughness, bravado with tact and honesty with decency and understanding in his tireless quest to address some of the world's most difficult challenges and dangerous conflicts. Holbrooke's globetrotting work helped spread American values while making the world a safer and better place for all mankind. His presence on the international stage will surely be missed.
