Post Superbowl Recap

Before we settle back into the winter grind let's take a moment to recap the latest events. Cristina Aguilera started off a festive Sunday evening with an awful version of the national anthem in which she skipped a line and made up her own lyrics. Unfortunatly for some prop betters her mistakes took a few seconds off the anthem which came in under the 1:57 time frame posted by Vegas odds makers.
Meanwhile last weeks snow fall led to a more subdued Superbowl Sunday throughout the neighborhhod as most bars were at half capacity. The game saw the Packers slide past the Steelers and hoist the Championship trophy. The final score led one bunch of B readers to a 10k prize!
Around town a bunch of folks took up shovels in an effort to eliminate parking dibs which they find to be a pressing issue.
Politically Alderman Balcer picked up the Gazzete endorsement while Rahm picked up the Trib's praise. Gery Chico aslo made some news moving past the discredited CMB to second in the polls and a likely run-off election. This will not please most precinct captains who prefer a one and done election scenario and perhaps a a more intersting candidate to support.
