Jake Peavy Returns

With Jake Peavy set to rejoin the rotation the Sox have to make an important roster decision this week. Phil Humber has been pitching well and should move into the bullpen after another start this week. Humber could serve as fall back option if Peavy cannot handle too many innings and also as a solid-long man. If Humber does stay it looks like Sale will be the odd-man out. Sale has struggled this season and has lost a few mph on his fastball. With Thorton now as a set-up man and Olhman as the second lefty in the pen Sale seems expendable. Perhaps the youngster should head down to work out his problems and develop another pitch for a possible career as a starter with Buerhle and Jackson set to leave next season.
